On Saturday, December 19th, the Cinnaminson Fire Department responded to a single family dwelling fire on Washington Avenue at 10:19 am. The first unit arrived on location at 10:21am and reported heavy fire from the first floor of the dwelling with all occupants evacuated.

Over the next 48 minutes, the 39 firefighting personnel from the Cinnaminson Fire Department, assisted by Riverton, Palmyra and Pennsauken fire departments, fought to bring this fire under control.

While the home sustained significant fire, smoke and water damage; firefighters we able to remove most gifts from under the Christmas tree and two cats, but unfortunately a third cat perished.
