Safety Stand Down Training

In an effort to expand our annual Safety Stand Down training, the Cinnaminson Fire Department is proud to announce a free training opportunity this June. On June 24, we invite all first responders to attend our annual “Everyone Goes Home” training. This year we will have a guest speaker, as Claire Hunter of the Hunter’s Heroes Foundation will speak as we introduce “Sometimes Everyone Does Not Go Home” training. The event will be held at the Cinnaminson High School and will start at 8:00 am.

This training is being offered to all local first responders and their significant others. By including the significant others with this year’s training, our hope is to enlighten them on things they may see or deal with at home. This can be of great assistance in noticing signs that the first responders are in need of assistance.

FF/EMT Jim Clancy and Lt. Dennis Staples will instruct this program as they have for our department in past years. FF/EMT Clancy commented, “As one of the few departments in the area that participate in the Safety Stand Down Week training annually, we are excited to

expand this to include other departments.”

We ask that anyone interested in attending please pre-register by going to cinnaminsonfiresafetystanddown2017.eventbrite.com. This will help us assure that we have the proper amount of handouts and supplies needed to give the best training possible. If anyone has any questions regarding this training opportunity, please email FF/EMT Jim Clancy at jclancy@cinnaminsonfire.org.
