On Saturday, December 26th, the Cinnaminson Fire Department was dispatched at 7:42am to a report of multiple tractor trailers on fire at a trucking company on Garry Boulevard. Two Cinnaminson Fire Department engine companies arrived simultaneously at 7:47am to discover one tractor well involved with other tractor, trailers and equipment as exposures.
Two attack water lines were placed into service, one attacking the fire and the other protecting the exposures. Both diesel fuel tanks released their contents during the fire fight, requiring the department to switch the attack line to firefighting foam.
A total of 25 firefighters remained on location for 3 hours and 41 minutes.
The Burlington County Department of Health’s Hazardous Materials Technician responded to the scene to assess the fuel release.
